Our condolences go to Fruit D’or in Canada who’s cranberry processing plant got burned down last week. Details are still sketchy, but it appears, according to local news reports, that the fire started in a fruit drying room and raged for 20 hours. We can’t see this affecting the huge bulk of cranberries waiting their in cold store, which did not burn down. They have buffer stock to cover. The industry should rally round and help them.
