Meeting with Anjari

Exportadora Anjari is a raisin exporter located in San Esteban, one of the main productive fruit areas in Chile and was established in 2004.

Marco is the sales director of Anjari, a prominent flame crimson Thompson raisin exporter. We ask him questions such as what the total export of flames are and if they grow their own raisin, what the advantages of their raisins are compared to other factories.


Whilst Marco has visited, we have done our best to come up with a confectionary grade because flames are mainly sold to USA and Europe for coating for chocolate, which requires a special grade. The characteristics of this grade will includes less cap stems, lower moisture levels and a tighter grading which means the fruit will be tightly grades and will be able to absorb the right amount of chocolate. The whole production process should be more standardised.
