  • Reading time:1 mins read

We have now received an official estimate of the 2014 Apricot crop prepared by Malatya’s Apricot Research Station, Commodity Exchange, Chamber of Agriculture and The Provincial Directorate of Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock. As expected the crop size is a lot smaller than average, with a total yield of 30,250 Tons, of which 24,800 Tons will be dried to produce a total of around 6,200 Tons of dried apricots. As the quantity is so low, we can expect relatively high apricot prices for the next year, however prices are no longer rising for the moment and have been stable for around three weeks.
