What is Ramadan?
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, when Muslims fast during daylight hours. It involves a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad. This year, Ramadan begins on 18 June and lasts for 30 days.
