Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7) plays a critical role in achieving global sustainable development. However, the latest data reveals substantial gaps in energy access, efficiency, and renewable adoption, necessitating urgent and substantial efforts for universal electricity access and transformative shifts in the global energy landscape to meet SDG 7 and related goals by 2030.
We are proud to support the Monte Carlos community, who collect Brazil nuts in Pando, Bolivia. Our recent project with this community funded an electrical generator and solar panels. This generator is impacting the quality of life for both villagers and seasonal workers.
This remote community now has a reliable means of lighting, communication and refrigeration for food and medicines. The solar panels combined with the electrical generator, harness energy from the sun as a source of renewable energy. This transition from the former gasoline generator is a direct contribution to SDG 7.
