Although significant progress has been made in reducing extreme poverty worldwide, millions still struggle to meet their basic needs. As of 2015, approximately 736 million people lived on less than $1.90 a day, lacking access to essentials like food, clean drinking water, and sanitation.<\/p><p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-size: 15px;\">At Freeworld, we are committed to improving the quality of life for farming communities through ethical sourcing and long-term partnerships that prioritise transparency and traceability in our supply chain. By creating a fair and sustainable marketplace, we empower processors and farmers to focus on quality and sustainability, knowing their products will receive fair value. Our Shared Future projects directly contribute to SDG 1 in the following ways:<\/span><\/p><p><b style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-size: 15px;\">Empowering Economic Opportunities<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-size: 15px;\">By fostering ethical sourcing and long-term partnerships, we create sustainable livelihoods for farming communities, enabling them to invest in improving the quality of life and providing a pathway towards economic empowerment.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Access to Basic Resources and Services<\/b><\/p><p>We are committed to enabling communities to invest in their specific needs. We acknowledge that equal access to basic services and land ownership plays a pivotal role in breaking the cycle of poverty. In our projects, we prioritize providing access to vital resources for all. We do not claim ownership of the land or property, but instead work hand in hand with communities to ensure they have the necessary support and resources to thrive independently.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; color: var( --e-global-color-text );\">By aligning our Shared Future projects with SDG 1, we are committed to making a tangible difference in eradicating poverty and improving the lives of those in farming communities.
