We are currently looking for a new team member to join our QC department.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reporting to:\u00a0 <\/strong>Company Directors<\/p>\n

Hours: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Full-time<\/p>\n

Location: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Office based role in Edinburgh, United Kingdom<\/p>\n

Purpose of the position:<\/strong><\/p>\n

To work as part of the QC team to ensure daily management of the QMS and HACCP to ensure compliance.<\/p>\n

To provide customer and supplier support and act as a point of contact with relation to quality control. To understand and evaluate the risks in the products, how they arise and how they can be controlled.<\/p>\n

Key responsibilities & duties (but not limited to):<\/strong><\/p>\n

Customers <\/em>– Respond to customer and supplier enquiries both over the phone and via email, complete questionnaires and other requested documents, handle customer complaints<\/p>\n

Suppliers <\/em>\u2013 supplier approval, maintain up-to-date database, obtain necessary information regarding practices and processes.<\/p>\n

Samples <\/em>\u2013 log in samples, send samples to lab, record lab results, chase samples<\/p>\n

Specifications <\/em>\u2013 issue new and updated specifications, maintain up-to-date specification database, agree specifications with suppliers<\/p>\n

Academic or trade qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Required: A degree\/background in Food Science<\/p>\n

Desired: Minimum 3 years work experience in Food Industry. Sound knowledge of HACCP and GFSI standards<\/p>\n

Work experience and skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applicants with experience in food safety, quality assurance including HACCP, quality management systems and compliance. Good customer service experience preferred.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
